Hospice CareIf a seniors primary doctor determines the senior is unlikely to live more than 6 months Hospice care can be arranged. Hospice care can occur either in the home environment or a senior care facilitiy. Hospice Care is especially traumatic for all involved although we have found that the elderly person is probably the most comfortable with what's happening. The one thing to really watch out for is that ALL parties that may be in the home or facility understand what a DNR order is and how they should respond.
