Homecare workers in New Hampshire may or may not be certified. Homecare workers in New Hampshire are required to have a criminal background check. Our Home Instead office also completes a motor vehicle, national and state background check, along with a Bureau of Elder Abuse check. The American Red Cross Licensed Nursing Assistant program is one of the most highly respected programs of its kind in the country. Upon completion of this program, the Licensed Nursing Assistant will have the knowledge and skills to provide quality health care to individuals in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and private homes. The Licensed Nursing Assistant program is taught by experienced certified Red Cross RN’s and LPN’s. The course includes CPR/AED for the professional and First Aid training. The Licensed Nursing Assistant student will gain first hand experience in local long term clinical settings. The Licensed Nursing Assistant program is offered both days and evenings. The classes are held at various locations within the state, including Franklin, Concord, Nashua, and Portsmouth. Tuition fees do vary from each program site. Upon completion of the program, the LNA student will be required to take and pass an exam per The New Hampshire Board of Nursing, to be licensed.
