SpotlightConcord Hospital Launches New Initiative Focused on Seniors Concord Hospital recently launched its new Acute Care for the Elderly Program. Also referred to as ACE, this new program provides enhanced special care for the hospital’s senior patients. Its primary focus is to prevent the functional decline most often associated with a lengthy stay in the hospital. The goals of the program are to increase the number of senior patients able to return home after being discharged rather than to a nursing home; to decrease the average length of stay in the hospital; and to reduce rates of readmission.
